BALSIRA.
Tender Access
Balsira ensures all procurement activities meet applicable regulatory frameworks including TBS, PVoC, EAC, and ethical procurement guidelines across all African markets we operate in.
All equipment procured for Tanzania-bound projects must comply with TBS Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) requirements. Balsira manages compliance documentation for all applicable supply routes.
For non-regular or one-off equipment shipments. Full inspection and physical testing is required at origin before customs clearance into Tanzania.
For products registered with TBS. Frequent exporters submit Certificates of Conformity (CoC) issued by accredited bodies such as Intertek or Bureau Veritas.
High-volume licensed exporters undergo factory audits and full compliance verification. Mandatory for bulk mining and railway equipment exports.
All suppliers registered with Balsira must maintain documentation meeting procurement compliance standards.
CoC, test reports, and certificates of origin required per consignment for all regulated equipment categories.
ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management certification preferred. Industry-specific standards apply for mining and railway equipment.
Suppliers are encouraged to comply with EAC and Tanzanian local content preferences where applicable.
All suppliers must comply with Balsira's anti-corruption policy and applicable South African, Tanzanian, and international anti-bribery regulations.
Technical datasheets, specifications, and test certificates must be available for all supplied equipment and materials.
Valid export permits, packing lists, commercial invoices, and HS code classification for all cross-border shipments.
Balsira's procurement operations align to these regulatory and industry standards across our operating markets.
